6          Abdullah AL RAWAHI (OMN) / Ata AL HMOUD (JOR)

"I am very happy to be here, among great and experienced drivers. I am satisfied with the 3rd place. I could have finished in 2nd, but unfortunately a problem in the last special stage cost me a lot of time. But this is rally. It is very important for me that I managed to finish the race after not finishing in the last two events I competed."

 

18        Savvas SAVVA (CYP) / Andreas PAPANDREOU (CYP)

"In the end we managed to keep our position in MERC 2. We had a problem with the ECU (Engine Control Unit) from the very first stage, a problem that we struggled to manage throughout the race. We are experienced from the Cyprus Rally, it is our tenth rally, with an equal number of finishes. It was a very closed rally, difficult stages, with low speeds ".

 

10        Panayiotis YIANGOU (CYP) / Pavlos ENGLEZOU (CYP)

"It was a very difficult event; we fought a lot and we are satisfied with our result. I want to thank all those who were by our side and worked to bring this result."

Alexandros Tsouloftas / Stelios Elia with a Volkswagen Polo claimed their first ever victory in the Cyprus Rally, with P. Panteli / P. Laos (Citroen DS3) climbing to 2nd place in the last special stage, ahead of Al Rawahi / Al Hmoud (Ford Fiesta) who finished in third. P. Yiangou / P. Englezou (Hyundau NG i20) were fourth overall and third Cypriot crew.
