The 2021 Cyprus Rally will be contested over twelve gravel special stages on September 25 and 26. Event organizers are the Cyprus Automobile Association. The main feature of this year’s rally is the return to a purely gravel surface, following many years of a mixed surface event. The overall distance of the event is 663.22 km, of which 180.92 km is the competitive distance.
The 49th International Cyprus Rally will be based in the capital Nicosia, as the fourth round of the FIA Middle East Rally Championship (MERC) and the fourth and fifth rounds of the Pancyprian Rally Championship.
The three-day event will start on Friday, September 24 with the start ceremony in the center of the capital, with the cars then returning immediately to the Service Park in the municipality of Aglantzia. Due to the safety measures against COVID-19, spectators will not be allowed to enter the premises of the Service Park.
The competitive part of the rally will commence on Saturday, September 25, with the day including six special stages (three repetitive), with a distance of 94.94 km. After spending the night in Nicosia, the crews will return to their seats on Sunday, September 26, for the remaining six special stages with a total length of 85.98 km. The finish ceremony will take place at 18:00 in the center of Nicosia.

WARNING TO THE COMPETITORS
Following the publication of the route, the Organizing Committee makes it clear that any contestant seen entering the route prior to the event in any way will be fined € 3,000, payable before the start of the race and will receive a two-minute penalty, which will be added at the start time of the contestant. The above penalties are imposed based on article 9.2.b of the Supplementary Rules of the Race.
